Lenders are not generally eager to go through the foreclosure process. However, it can be intimidating for homeowners to go through the negotiation process with the mortgage holder. The foreclosure prevention counselor can help. The counselor is not a lender, but rather a nonprofit staff person in helping you retain your home. Contact Kristi Gough (rhymes with "cough") at 543-3550, Ext. 22, for more information.
