Love of language evident at Sussex School

Learning foreign languages at a young age is a wonderful thing. Research shows that young children are very receptive to learning second languages because they have many more brain synapses than adults do. Children are also just more willing to try the language and have fun with it! Sussex School is an independent K-8 school in Missoula. We are fortunate to have foreign language in kindergarten through eighth grade. Kids learn Spanish in kindergarten-fourth grade, and choose between French and Spanish in fifth-eighth grade. It's exciting to hear our students speak French or Spanish, sing songs, make books, put on plays, tell stories, and much more. We hope you enjoy looking at some of the work the students have created throughout the year!
