- A single mother has gotten out of an abusive relationship and is struggling to move forward and care for her son. Her former husband broke a window in her trailer and she cannot afford to replace it. A bunk bed also would be helpful. Her son, age 4, needs a snow suit size 7, snow boots size 13 and warm clothes. He likes the Hulk and any learning toys. Mom would like a camera and a coat, size women's medium.
- Another single mother with medical problems that keep her from working needs a battery and installation in her 1994 Mercury Sable. Her 3-year-old son needs snow boots, size 11, and a bicycle helmet. He likes Clifford the Big Red Dog. They also have two cats and would appreciate some help paying for their annual shots.
- Dad works full time allowing mom to be home with their four young children. Their 1989 Chevy Astro van needs brakes and an alignment. They also need a twin mattress, bassinet and crib bedding. A daughter would like twin sheets and needs clothes size 5T. Two sons need clothes size 6 and 10. Mom would like a large crockpot and a hair dryer. Dad would appreciate an electric razor and shoes size 10 1/2.
- Two Head Start parents have combined their families into one. Five children between the ages of 10 years and 18 months want sleeping bags and family videos. The three boys and two girls all need snow boots and warm clothes. The parents need bath linens, pots and pans and silverware. The 1992 Chevy Lumina van needs brakes and a mechanic to find out why the battery light flashes when the lights and heater are on at the same time. The children hope Santa will leave toys under the Christmas tree.
- Another blended family needs transmission work done on its 1986 Suburban. Children, ranging in age from 5 to 13, need clothes. All would appreciate gift certificates for music, books or movies. The parents would appreciate help with a Christmas meal.
- College-student parents need brakes, struts and tires for a 1995 Ford Escort Club Wagon. A 4-year-old son loves Yu-Gi-Oh! An older daughter would like a porcelain doll and a younger daughter, a soft, life-like baby doll. Mom needs nice clothes for work, size 10. Dad needs a winter coat, size large. Laundry/grooming/cleaning supplies also are on their list.
- A foster family would like five sets of twin sheets, a small computer hutch for the kids, a small folding table and chairs and a recliner. Their 1994 4-door Geo Metro needs three door handles. The parents request a DVD player, blank CDs and pots and pans. All five children need warm clothes. Some of them are asking for Hot Wheels, Barbies, two toddler bike helmets, dolls and puzzles. Two girls, ages 3 and 4, hope Santa can bring them bikes with training wheels.
- A single mother just lost her job and is having trouble finding another. When she worked, there was barely enough to go around and now she is unsure how she will provide any kind of Christmas for her children. The family home also has broken windows in the living and bedrooms. Sons, ages 2, 3 and 6, would like skateboards and helmets. A 10-year-old daughter wants a bike and books about unicorns or fairies. Teenage boys would like a television or stereo for their bedroom. The family van needs a fuel pump.
- This young mother has severe rheumatoid arthritis that makes it hard to complete basic daily cleaning jobs or do fun things with her children. Mopping floors is one of the hardest tasks for her. She is asking for a Hoover Floor Mate or a Bissell Steam mop to help make that job easier. Used games, brushes, paints, paper or wood to cut for family painting projects would be appreciated. Donated band/scroll or miter saws that are no longer being used would be appreciated. A 4-year-old daughter needs underwear and snow boots. She also loves the Hulk and the Power Rangers. A 7-year-old son needs jeans and snow boots. He'd also like a race track and loves Spider-Man and Yu-Gi-Oh! Both children would like kids spin toothbrushes. Mom needs clothes size 18 or 1X.
