Sirota's talk, "Democrats' Da Vinci Code," is free and open to the public at 8 p.m. in City Council Chambers in City Hall, 435 Ryman St.
Sirota will discuss why populism will be the way back to prominence for Democrats.
Sirota lives in Helena and was chief spokesman for Democrats on the U.S. House Appropriations Committee before working on Schweitzer's campaigns. He is a guest on the "Al Franken Show" twice a week and writes for Nation magazine. He is writing a book for Random House on the middle-class economic squeeze.
Missoula County Democrats will hold their elections for officers and positions on the executive board at 7:30 p.m.
