First, apologies to those galleries and shops that do no appear on this page. There was simply too much to take in without devoting an entire week to the effort.
I hit the bricks with pad and paper and camera, visiting our area galleries and stores, and was simply amazed at the brain candy that our artists produce. It was a whirlwind tour that got my dogs barking and set my artistic juices flowing.
And I left out at least one big upcoming event - since it's upcoming, I couldn't exactly photograph and describe it. Go figure.
But if you're looking to support local art and looking also for a great holiday gift, be sure to attend this weekend's Starving Sculpture and Ceramics Students annual holiday show and sale in the Art Annex next to the Adams Center.
The juried portion of the show runs tonight, Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., and the sale portion - which benefits students and the School of Fine Arts - runs all day Friday and Saturday.
Thanks for my own personal art walk, Missoula.
