Guard Sonya Rogers keyed the Montana effort at both ends of the court, winding up with a game-high 19 points to lead four Lady Griz in double figures. Mandy Morales chipped in with 15 while Johanna Closson and Dana Conway added 12 apiece.
Weber State (15-11, 10-3) got 18 from 3-point specialist Chelsey Warburton but held the hot-shooting Wildcat guard to 6-of-18 from the field while limiting her open opportunities in the second half. Reserve Janie Rayback added 11 for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats led 23-16 with just over 10 minutes to go in the first half but Montana (23-2, 11-1) began to chip away and eventually used an 8-0 run to take a 28-24 lead on the way to a 37-32 halftime margin.
Weber State - which handed Montana it's only league loss in Ogden, Utah earlier in the season - continued to hang around in the second half, closing the margin to 49-45 with 10:45 to go in the game. But the Lady Griz slowly stretched their lead out from there.
Rogers hit 7-of-11 from the field for Montana which wound up shooting 44 percent despite a cool start. The Wildcats - red hot at the outset - cooled to 40 percent for the game.
Montana will entertain Idaho State Sunday afternoon at 2.
