The Republican-led panel buried these Democratic bills:
- Senate Bill 138, by Rep. Dave Wanzenried, D-Missoula, to prevent corporations from channeling income to insurance subsidiaries.
- Senate Bill 174, by Elliott, to revise laws on revenue administration.
- Senate Bill 242, by Elliott, to make public some information on corporate income tax records filed with the state.
The committee did amend and endorse Senate Bill 439, also by Elliott, to provide for nonresident withholding for natural resource royalty payments.
