McEndoo stays with Bobcats
By the Associated Press

BOZEMAN (AP) - Jason McEndoo is staying on as Montana State's offensive line coach, Rob Ash, the football team's new head coach, announced Friday.

McEndoo has crafted some of the best offensive lines in recent school history, and handled in-state recruiting for the Bobcats the past four years.

“First and foremost, Jason is an outstanding person,” Ash said. “He is the type of person I want to build a coaching staff with. Beyond that, he is proven as a terrific recruiter, and once I sat down and began discussing football with him it became obvious that he's a very solid coach.

“We're fortunate that Jason will remain with the Bobcat program.”

McEndoo has coached two All-Americans and five first team All-Big Sky Conference selections at Montana State. His 2006 unit allowed the fewest sacks in the league, and in 2005 Jeff Bolton won the Rimington Award as the NCAA Division I-AA's top center.

McEndoo was an All-Pac 10 offensive lineman at Washington State and earned Sporting News Honorable Mention All-America honors his senior year. He played in NFL Europe and for the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints, coaching in the Washington state prep ranks before joining the Bobcats staff.

He joins coordinator Dale Ploessl on the offensive side of Ash's first Bobcat coaching staff.
