Dlouhy named to USA national team

Former Griz football player Dustin Dlouhy was recently selected to the USA national football team, which will compete at the 2007 World Championship of American Football July 7-15 in Kawasaki, Japan.

The former defensive lineman for Montana is one of 45 individuals selected to play in Team USA's first appearance at the international event. The team consists of 2006 college seniors from both the NCAA and NAIA.

This year's competition will be divided up into two pools. The United States joins Korea and Germany in its pool, while two-time defending champion Japan along with Sweden and France make up the other pool. This year is the third year of the event, which is organized by the International Federation of American Football.
