A triple by Zach Griffith and double by Will Sutherland broke an 8-8 tie in the 12th, and Great Falls tacked on three more runs, thanks to a walk and two errors sandwiched around RBI singles from John Coleman and Rick Hedstrom.
The Stallions improved to 10-3 in league play and 23-22 overall, while dropping the Mavs into second at 9-4 and 36-18. The two teams battle again Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Parrish, who hit a solo homer in the Stallions' five-run fifth inning, pitched six innings of relief. He gave up six hits and three runs.
Travis Johnsen, who hit a two-out, two-run triple in the ninth inning to forge the 8-8 tie, took the loss for the Mavericks. He pitched the final three innings.
Missoula led 5-0 after two innings, but trailed 7-5 after the Stallions scored five runs in their half of the fifth. Run-scoring singles by Max Smith and Cuffe in the second inning helped the Mavs jump out early.
The Stallions closed to 5-2 and then surged ahead in the fifth behind Parrish's homer and a two-run double from Taylor Ferradas. Eventually, the visitors garnered their fifth straight win, all in conference play.
