Griz football games already sold out
By the Missoulian

Tickets for the 2007 University of Montana Grizzly football season, including individual games, are sold out, UM officials said Thursday. Single-game tickets were made available to the public on Wednesday, and all of them were sold in less than an hour.

Season tickets for the season are also sold out at a record number of almost 17,000, and there is a waiting list of approximately 1,800. UM students are allotted 3,360 tickets and can begin picking them up on August 27.

“It's incredible to think we've already sold out our season on Aug. 1 - both in terms of season tickets and individual game tickets - a full month before we take the field,” said UM Athletic Director Jim O'Day.

“This is another example of why our east side expansion project is so important at this time,” O'Day said. “Obviously support for Grizzly football is at an all-time high. We'd like to thank our fans for their tremendous support in anticipation of our exciting season ahead.”

UM is currently accepting applications for its new seats which will be available after Washington-Grizzly Stadium undergoes its third expansion following the 2007 season.

The expansion is scheduled for completion in time for the 2008 football season. Those interested in reserving space in “club seating” may call Colleen Marks at 243-6472, starting on Oct. 8.

Griz fans may call the Adams Center Ticket Office (243-4051 or 1-888-MONTANA) two weeks before a home game to check on the possibility of any unclaimed tickets that would be released for sale.
