Richard Kolenda has has been named executive chef at the Holiday Inn Downtown at the Park. Kolenda has an extensive background in the food service industry, including owning his own restaurant, The Atrium in Long Beach, Calif.; food and beverage management positions for multimillion-dollar accounts including ABC Capital Cities, DreamWorks Studios and Universal Studios; as well as serving as executive chef at KCET Public Broadcasting Studios, L.A. Mart and Pacific Enterprises. He was trained under the supervision of master European chefs and exhibited his talents as a culinary artist as a chef garde manger, receiving three Auguste Excoffier Medals of Merit for Culinary Expertise along with four Augie Awards in specialized categories. In addition, he received the Grand Salon Award for Hyatt Corp. for its Bicentennial Culinary Exhibit.
Misty Bowen has become the new human resource manager at the Holiday Inn Downtown at the Park. Bowen has a degree in social work from the University of Montana. She began working as a human resource administrative assistant at RDD Inc. and was promoted three months later to the human resource coordinator position. She also was the personnel director for Trucker's Express Inc.
Attorneys Tammy Wyatt Shaw and Nicholas J. Pagnotta have joined Williams Law Firm P.C. Shaw earned her bachelor's degree in business administration with honors from the University of Arkansas in 1989 and her juris doctorate with high honors from the University of Montana in 1994. Shaw has 13 years of experience representing individuals and businesses in civil litigation in Montana state and federal courts, both at the district and appellate levels, with an emphasis on personal injury and wrongful death cases, employment litigation and insurance coverage. She is admitted to the State Bar of Montana, as well as the U.S. District Court of Montana and the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Shaw is past president of the Western Montana Bar Association and the Missoula Food Bank. She currently serves on the board of trustees to the State Bar. Pagnotta is a native Montanan with experience in the areas of real estate litigation, professional liability, premises liability, construction defect and insurance coverage. He graduated from Montana State University in 2000 and attended the University of Montana School of Law where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team. During law school, Nick was a law clerk at Williams Law Firm. Following law school, he practiced with a litigation firm in San Diego for four years. He regularly appeared before the busy courts of the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. His California practice included jury and bench trials, arbitrations, and appeals. Nick was recognized as the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year by the San Diego Defense Lawyers association in 2006.
Sara Bruya has joined the staff of the Missoula Cultural Council as special events coordinator for the organization, joining executive director Tom Bensen at MCC's new location at the Montana Technology Enterprise Center, 1121 E. Certification

Jeff Hasskamp, president, and Mark Dibert, marketing director and loan originator, of APMFIRST Inc. have been certified as mortgage planning specialists. The designation allows them to offer full service mortgage planning including estate planning, divorce strategies, equity management and tax savings using proper equity management tools. Hasskamp has been a loan originator since 1994. Dibert has been a loan originator with APMFIRST since 2005.
Noel Phillips, owner of ShapeShifters Personal Training, has received Level 5 certification from YogaFit. Level 5 is the highest attainable certification through YogaFit. Phillips also is certified in seniors yoga and pre- and postnatal yoga through YogaFit.
