William Henry 'Will' Ranger

MISSOULA - William Henry "Will" Ranger, 55, of Missoula, passed away at his home from bone marrow cancer on Friday, Jan. 11, 2008.

He was born Nov. 10, 1952, on Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu to Frank and Bonnie Ranger.

The family moved back to Yakima, Wash., when Will was 2. He attended schools there and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1975.

He married Sandra Klette on Aug. 30, 1981, and they lived in Covallis and later Missoula, where he worked mainly in the floor covering trade. For the past six years, he also ran the Bloomin' Youth Greenhouse.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank, and two infant children.

His family includes his wife, Sandra of Missoula; children, Andrew, Ethan, Ryan, Jeremy, Timothy, Austin, Sonja and Laura, all of Missoula; mother, Bonnie Ranger of Yakima, Wash; brothers, Les of Seattle, Ron of Reno, Nev., Jeff of Naches, Wash.; sister, Joan Ranger of Bellevue, Wash.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Sunset Memorial Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at the Slavic Pentecostal Church on Mullan Road.

Arrangements are under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.
