Legislative, judicial candidates pay filing fees

HELENA - Nearly 100 legislative hopefuls and a dozen people vying for district judgeships became official candidates last week, paying their filing fee in the opening week.

Filing opened Tuesday at the secretary of state's office in Helena. Legislative candidates paid $15 each; district judge candidates paid $992.34 each.

Below is a list of who filed to run for the Legislature and district judge, and their respective districts.

Legislature

Senate District 2 (Whitefish/Columbia Falls): Jake Pannell, Democrat, Columbia Falls.

SD3 (Kalispell area): Bruce Tutvedt, Republican, Kalispell.

SD7 (lower Clark Fork Valley): Sylvia Bookout-Reinecke, Republican, Alberton.
