The Western B-C Eagles earned a nonconference sweep of Southern A Stevensville in Missoula on Tuesday afternoon at Fort Missoula, winning the boys' match 6-1 and the girls' competition 5-2.
Top singles competitor William Gray led the Valley Christian boys, who took three of four singles' matches. Gray earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Sam Lubbers. Nathan Norberg and Jordan Potter also posted straight-set singles' wins for the Eagles.
James Stockdale earned the Yellowjackets' lone victory, downing James Bollen 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 in the No. 3 singles match.
On the girls' side, Jessica Manuel and Kelsey Breidenbach won singles events for the Eagles, while Brittany Constantino and Cassidy Morgan were individual winners for Stevensville.
The Eagles swept the doubles matches, getting wins from the teams of Becca Truitt and Meaghan Moore, Tina Hall and Becca King and Tessa Pearson and Amy Satterlee.
