The Broncs cleaned up at the meet with 220 points, while Corvallis (144) and Stevensville (61) followed. The girls' side was a little closer as the Tigers won the competition with a final tally of 156 points, while Hamilton (139) and Stevensville (95) were next in line.
The Hamilton boys were led by a pair of first-place finishes by Allen McCarty in the high jump and 300 hurdles. Hamilton also swept the relays and received a solid outing by Devin Leonardi, who won the triple jump and finished second to Corvallis' Mahlone Jessop in the 100 meters.
Megan Baker helped Hamilton keep it close with a top finish in the pole vault and a second-place finish in the 300 hurdles to teammate Michelle Jones.

Big Sky-Butte dual
Mike Devlin and Drew Owens each won two events and the Missoula Big Sky Eagles sprinted to a 110-34 dual boys' track and field win over Butte at Missoula County Stadium.
Devlin and Owens were the lone double-winners for the Eagle boys, though the hosts won 13 of 17 events. Among the better performances was sophomore Owens' win in the 300 hurdles, where he clocked 40.31 seconds. Owens also won the 200 in 23.5.
Devlin won the triple jump with a mark of 41 feet, 11 inches, and took the high hurdles in 15.2. Other highlights included Beau Donaldson throwing 50-5 to win the shot put. Donaldson also finished fourth in the 100.
The Big Sky girls had a tougher time, falling to Butte 86-57. The Bulldogs' Gwen Abbott had a big day, clearing 5-2 to win the high jump and taking the 300-meter hurdles in 47.14. Sara McGree also won the 100 hurdles and the long jump for Butte, marking 17-4fi in the latter.
Melissa Jenkins impressively swept the 100 and 200 for Big Sky, clocking 12.82 and 27 seconds flat.
Adding wins for Big Sky were Kori Thornock in the 3,200, Allison Huguet in the pole vault and Lindsey Hall in the triple jump.
For the Big Sky boys, Thayne Palmer won the long jump, Cody Lund took the 1,600, Trevor Poser won the 400, Ryan Parrish took the discus, Brandt Montelius won the high jump and Joey Petritz cleared 12-6 to win the pole vault.
Big Sky swept the boys' relays, and Butte swept the girls.'

Helena Coaches' meet
At Helena, Drummond senior Tel Reynolds swept the boys' hurdles events to lead the Trojans at the nonscoring meet.
Reynolds, who was the state Class C runner-up in both competitions last spring, won the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.56 seconds. He edged out Helena Capital's Joe Andriolo who finished at 16.70. In the 300 hurdles, Reynolds broke the tape in 40.47, more than two seconds ahead of Seth Long of Capital.
Jordan Tubbs from Drummond was the 200 champion with a time of 23.89, while teammate Jordan Mannix won the high jump and placed second in the pole vault.
On the girls' side, the Trojans were led by M.J. Monroe and Patti Brown.
Monroe placed second in the 200, finishing at 27.83. Clair Bischoff of Capital won with a time of 27.78. Brown's shot put mark of 33-3 was good for second. She also earned bronze in the discus.
Lincoln was paced by Jaycee Keaster, who took silver in the 100. The Lynx also received a fourth from Hannah Fields in both the 400 and the javelin.

Class A Invitational
At Kalispell, Libby's Seth Wright had the most impressive showing, winning a pair of events at the Class A Invitational at Legends Field.
Wright won the triple jump and the high jump as area Class A teams joined with AA power Flathead, Kalispell Glacier and Class C Charlo for a nonscoring meet.
Wright, the defending champ in the triple, soared 42 feet, 10 inches to blow by the rest of the field. He won the high jump with a mark of 6 feet, 4 inches.
Flathead won both boys' relay events, claiming the 400 in 44.33 seconds and the 1,600 in 3:38.56. The meet's only other double winner was Whitefish distance runner Drew Coco, in the mile and two-mile.
Flathead throwers Luke Fischer and Josh Harris won their events with stellar early season marks. Fischer won the javelin (184-8) and Harris the discus (159-5).
Polson sprinter Merilee Mowbray won the 200 and 400 meters, the latter in a nice time of 59.34 seconds. She edged Glacier's Nicole Hall in the 200 with a time of 27.25.
Kayla Smart won the 100 and with Hall helped Glacier win the 400 relay in 50.39.
Flathead jumper Ally Krautbauer was a double winner in the long jump (16-5) and high jump (5-2) while Glacier thrower Emilee Hashley took the shot put (38-6fi) and discus (101-6).
Whitefish's Lauren Kuennan swept the distance races.
