The Kalispell Glacier softball team avenged a Western AA loss to crosstown rival Flathead back on April 18 by downing the Bravettes 10-0 in six innings due to the 10-run margin rule. Brittany Franklin's bat and a stellar outing by pitcher Jesse Compton led the charge.
Franklin went 4-for-4, highlighted by a bases-loaded double in the fifth that scored three as Glacier improved to 6-6 in league play and 7-12 overall. The Wolfpack catcher has feasted on Flathead pitching, going 11-for-12 with four RBIs in the teams' three meetings. In the schools' first tangle, the Bravettes won the first game of a doubleheader 5-4, before Glacier won the nonconference nightcap 14-0.
Zoey Pettit and Compton added two RBIs apiece for the Wolfpack, while Brittney Brown and Lindsey Hoffenbacker each went 2-for-3.
Kendra Bennett doubled for Flathead, which dropped to 5-7, 10-10.
