King paced a 10-hit attack at Lindborg-Cregg Field and Missoula won for the sixth time in its last seven games, downing the Class A Mission Valley Mariners 11-4 in American Legion baseball action Thursday evening.
From his leadoff spot in the order, King went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs. In his last four games, he's 10-for-14 with two homers, two triples and four doubles.
Anthony Maes improved his record to 4-0 with a solid five-inning start. He shutout the Mariners, allowing just two singles, while fanning two and walking a pair.
Cody Burgmeier went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI for the Mavs and Sam Sopko added a double and drove in a run.
Tim Rausch tripled for Mission Valley.
