Cody Burgmeier upped his record to 4-1 with a complete-game victory in the first game. He scattered seven Helena hits, walked one and struck out five, allowing just two earned runs.
Brendan Brown doubled and drove in two for the Mavs and red-hot leadoff hitter Taylor King also doubled and finished 2-for-3. Sean Dwyer and Andy Freeman each singled and added an RBI for Missoula.
Mavericks reliever Jake Schilling (0-2) allowed a run in the bottom of the seventh as the Senators took the second game.
Grant Wise homered, drove in three and went 2-for-5 to pace Helena. Nick Retz added two RBIs for the Senators.
Brown, Missoula's starting pitcher, had another double and collected two RBIs. Burgmeier went 2-for-3 with a double and a run driven in and Ben Roberts had a pair of singles.
The Mavs host the Bitterroot Red Sox for a single contest Wednesday before beginning their four-day Memorial Day tournament Friday. Games for the tournament will be played at both Lindborg-Cregg Field and Ogren-Allegiance Park.

A Mavs split with Reps
Brent Daugherty pitched the Class A Missoula Mavericks to a 6-4 victory in the first game of a doubleheader before the Helena Reps scored five in the top of the eighth to win the second game 10-5 at Lindborg-Cregg Field.
Daugherty (3-0) need just 73 pitches to throw the complete game in the opener. He allowed three earned runs, struck out one and walked a pair.
Matt McMann went 3-for-3 with an RBI to lead Missoula, while Andrew Schmautz was 2-for-4.
Losing pitcher Colter Sternhagen was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for the Reps.
Corey Severs' two-run single highlighted Helena's eighth inning in the second contest. He finished 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Cole Tybur paced the Mavs (11-6) at the plate with an RBI single in his 2-for-4 performance. He had the only multi-hit game for Missoula, which managed just five hits off Helena starter Tony Roberts and reliever Severs.

Cubs sweep Deer Lodge
At Dillon, the Dillon Cubs took both halves of twin bill with the Deer Lodge Wranglers, winning the first game 12-2 and the second 13-1. Both victories were called after five innings due to the 10-run margin rule.
Tim Goins drove in four runs, homered and finished 2-for-3 as the Cubs cruised to the win in the opener. Luke Renfree drove in a pair for Dillon.
Zach McRae allowed just five hits in the complete-game victory for the Cubs.
Will Anderson had an RBI and two singles for Deer Lodge.
The Cubs (15-7) exploded for nine runs in fourth frame of the second game and Goins dominated on the hill. He went the distance, surrendering two hits to a Deer Lodge lineup that was without starting catcher Joe Stefalo and leadoff hitter Trent Thomas.
Goins went deep again and had two RBIs, while Jackson Berkram doubled twice and went 3-for-4 with one driven in.

Sox sweep B Mariners
At Hamilton, the Bitterroot Red Sox scored a pair of victories in five innings due to the 10-run margin rule over the Mission Valley Mariners B squad, winning the first game 11-1 and the second 15-3.
Ryan Weigle threw a two-hitter to post the win in the opener and improved to 4-1. He fanned five and walked four.
Rodee Anderson went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Bitterroot, while Wes Sherman added a bases-loaded single that ended it. He singled twice and drove in two.
The Red Sox boosted their mark to 12-3 after winning the nightcap.
Drew Brown was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Bitterroot and Adam Ingerham had a two-run double in the fourth inning in his first at-bat of the season.

Butte, Bucs split
At Florence, Koby Salmela slapped a game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Bitterroot Bucs to a 10-9 win over the Butte Miners in the second game of a doubleheader.
Butte took the first contest 11-8.
Salmela's hit made a winner of Matt Perez. He was backed by Tyler Lind, who had a pair of hits and two RBIs, and Luke Topp, who was 3-for-4.
Riley Semmens was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Miners.
Mike Dixon blasted a grand slam homer to pace the Miners to the win in the opener. Brian Kremer was 2-for-3 for Butte.
Dominic Goble was 3-for-5 for the Bucs, while Perez and Salmela each had a pair of hits.
The Bucs travel to Polson to face Mission Valley on Saturday at 11 a.m.
