Letter: Missoula community deserves thanks for support

Where do we begin? And how can we express the gratitude to all our family, friends and businesses who have graciously contributed to Red’s Gang cancer fundraiser for my sister-in-law Audra Morger-Bonilla.

She was diagnosed in December with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. The months that led up to the April 26 benefit in Fort Benton were filled with love and kindness from people from all over the country. The Missoula community spoke loud and clear with their generosity and they left an indelible mark with donations from our University of Montana family, Missoula businesses, friends and family that will last forever.

Please help me acknowledge and thank all of these donors for their kindness:

The Depot owners Mike Muncie and Ed Wells

Red Bird owners Jim Tracey and Laura Waters

Lolo Steak House owner Mike Grunnow

Pearl Cafe owner Pearl Cash

Blue Canyon manager Chris DeSoto

Finn and Porter manager John Melchior

Worden’s Market and Deli owners Tim and Exie France

Mustard Seed Asian Cafe manager Tim Legen

Office Solutions 2 owner Kevin Huguet

Shadow’s Keep owner Shadow and manager Reed

Claw’s Nails and Spa, Dawn Blanch

Libby Auto owner Bill and Diane Miller

UM athletics director Jim O’Day

Griz Football Team, Friday Night Lights Squad and Craig Mettler

UM Alumni Association Director Bill Johnston and wife Dori

Riddles Jewelry manager

Universal Athletics, Eric

Buckeye Hardwood owners Hank and Carol Adams

Joyce Auer and Quilting Friends of Arlee

Tim and Suzy Miller, Joan and Gary Proctor

Jayne Auld and Doug Loomis, Dorothy Miller, Megan Harrington

Mike Harrington, Alissa Jesle, Edward Jesle

The benefit for Audra Morger-Bonilla was a very magical, moving and very successful event that made possible in part to all of the donors love, caring and kindness. How can Red’s Gang ever repay your generosity?

Thank you!

Red’s Gang (John, Jay, Lisa, Jordan, Gerald and Victoria Miller), Missoula
