Great Falls ambulance workers to unionize
Posted on May 25

GREAT FALLS (AP) - Private ambulance companies' paramedics and emergency-medical technicians in Great Falls have voted to unionize.

Employees of Great Falls Emergency Services and Montana Community Ambulance voted last week, under National Labor Relations Board supervision.

The employees voted 19-14 for affiliation with the National Emergency Medical Services Association. Three of the 36 employees eligible to vote did not do so.

Great Falls Emergency Services co-owner David Kuhn said the vote to unionize was disappointing, but the company is ready to move forward. Union officials said pay and benefits were among the concerns of those who voted for affiliation.
