Authorities say the 11-year-old and 12-year-old were riding the go-cart when it went into the river near the York Island fishing site south of Townsend.
Broadwater County Sheriff Brenda Ludwig says the accident occurred at around 5 p.m. Friday.
The bodies were recovered Friday night. Police were not releasing the names of the boys.
