AKRON, Ohio - Four Missoula area martial arts athletes turned in medal-winning performances at last weekend's United States Jujitsu Federation National Championships.

The Munoz sisters, Olivia, 16, and Danielle, 18, took first in their respective divisions. Danielle's win qualifies her to represent the United States at the World Games in November in Malmo, Sweden.

Torr and Ty Harrison placed first and second respectively in the adult men's intermediate division.

In addition to their medals, Danielle Munoz and Torr and Ty Harrison also received special recognition from event officials. Danielle was awarded Best Female Technician and Torr and Ty Harrison shared the Best Sportsmanship Award.
