The Mavs took the first game, 4-3, and the Red Sox rebounded to take the nightcap 9-2.
Collin LaPorte led the Mavs at the plate in the opener, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Andrew Bewley went 2-for-2, and Andrew Schmautz had a pair of hits including an RBI single.
In the second game, Andrew Shook went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and Paul Donaldson smacked an RBI triple and scored two runs to pace the Red Sox. Rodee Anderson recorded eight strikeouts en route to the win.
Schafer had a two-run single in the second that plated the Mavs' runs.
The Mavs wrapped up conference play with a 5-11 record, 32-26 overall. They will take the No. 4 seed into the Western A district tournament, which starts Thursday in Florence.

Livingston sweeps Deer Lodge
At Deer Lodge, Livingston took both sides of a doubleheader against Deer Lodge with a 10-7 win in the opener and a 16-3 decision in the nightcap.
Riley Kurschner was 3-for-5 to spur Livingston's seven-hit outing in the opener.
Deer Lodge, which out-hit its opponents with 12 knocks in the early game, was led by Jordan Jennings who hit his second homer of the year and finished 3-for-4.
Livingston notched 17 hits in the late game and was led by Sam Bison, who was a homer short of the cycle.
Blake Niederklein and Joe Stefalo each had homers to lead the Wranglers.

Mission Valley sweeps Bitterroot Bucs
At Polson, Eric Locke held the Bitterroot Bucs to just a single run and pitched a two-hit complete game to improve to 8-0 on the season and lead the Mission Valley Mariners to their first of two wins on the day.
Mission took the first half of the doubleheader with a 14-1 decision and then sent it home with a 12-5 win.
Beau Nordberg was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in, while Tim Rausch had a pair of homers and finished with five RBIs to lead the M's to the early win.
Matt Perez and Luke Topp both singled for Bitterroot's lone hits in the game.
Brandon Roy pitched the first five innings of the nightcap to take the win and improve to 9-2.
Locke and Rausch combined for four hits in the contest. Rausch had a pair of doubles and drove in one runner, while Locke went yard and knocked in three.
Dominic Goble had two of the Bucs' four hits in the late game. Tyler Lind and Perez combined for the other half of the Bitterroot offense.
