“We are excited to be the first newspaper consortium to offer a statewide classified marketplace,” said Gulledge. “This is an entirely new online classified advertising model with a very user-friendly approach.”
Merchandise on sellitmt.com is automatically uploaded each day from classified ads appearing in the four partner newspapers, including Billings Gazette Communications in Billings, the Missoulian in Missoula, the Montana Standard in Butte, and the Independent Record in Helena. Additionally, people from any location have the ability to easily input their own classified ads directly onto sellitmt.com.
“We wanted to create a comprehensive classified marketplace to serve people across the state and beyond,” said Gulledge. “By combining our daily and weekly print publications with our individual newspaper Web sites and the new statewide classified advertising platform, we have created a global marketplace for Montana classifieds.”
Interested parties are invited to log on and explore the collaborative Web site or place their own classified ads.
