Missoula police need help in solving hit-and-run accident downtown

The Missoula Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Friday, July 25, at approximately 4:30 p.m. This accident occurred on Higgins Avenue just north of Broadway. The run vehicle hit a blue pickup, pushing it into another vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene by driving east down an alley off of Higgins Avenue.

Witnesses describe the vehicle as either an older Honda Prelude or a Toyota Corolla, red in color, with a temporary registration in the rear window. This vehicle has damage to the front of the vehicle, including the left front fender “bowing out” from impact. The driver was described as a young male.
