The Orem Owlz dealt the Osprey their seventh straight loss with a 10-6 decision in a Pioneer League contest at Brent Brown Ballpark on Tuesday.
Six of Missoula's losses came during the Birds' current trip through Utah, the farthest reaches for Northern Division teams.
Orem starter Jayson Miller tossed six innings and gave up three earned runs on six hits. He allowed two homers to Missoula but improved his record to 5-2.
Luis Jimenez was 2-for-3 with five runs batted in to lead the Owlz, who were matched by the Osprey 9-9 in hits.
Jimenez belted a three-run homer in the fifth to give Orem a 7-4 lead. He also had a two-run double in the first.
Jimenez is now tied for second in the league for home runs with 11 this summer.
Darwin Perez added a 2-for-4 evening with two runs scored and one run batted in.
Missoula shortstop Reynaldo Navarro hit his first home run of the season to give his team a 3-2 lead in the third. Ryne White, who leads the O's in RBIs (32), added a sacrifice fly in the inning.
Victor Estevez banged a two-run homer in the second, tying the game 2-2 for a frame.
Kenny Sosa pitched four innings and got the loss for Missoula. Sosa (2-3) gave up just four hits, but walked five compared to one strikeout.
The Osprey (3-12, 12-41) face Orem again Wednesday before heading home for the start of a seven-game stint at Ogren-Allegiance Park.
