Kenneth L. Steiner died after the motorcycle he was driving hit a deer on Montana 287 a few miles south of Sheridan.
Sheriff Dave Schenk says it happened just before 7 p.m. Thursday.
Schenk says the couple was traveling north on Montana 287 between Sheridan and Laurin when the motorcycle hit a deer in the roadway. Both riders were thrown from the bike.
