KALSIPELL - Flathead County authorities say they have recovered the body of a 25-year-old man who went missing while swimming in the south fork of the Flathead River.

Flathead County Sheriff's Cpl. GW Schneider says the body was recovered Saturday evening, a few hours after the man went missing.

The man's name has not been released pending family notification.

Authorities say the man dove into the water about 4 p.m. Saturday at Devil's Elbow, just below Hungry Horse Dam, and did not resurface.
