BUTTE - Authorities have identified a 20-year-old Butte woman who was killed in a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 90 near Whitehall.

Kelsey Ann Patterson was killed Saturday night when the pickup truck she was riding in crashed.

"It's just a tragedy," Jefferson County Undersheriff Steve Marquis said. "It's unfortunate."

Two other people - a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl - were injured and were taken to St. James Healthcare. Their names weren't released Monday.

Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Francine Janik said Patterson was ejected from the pickup truck and it rolled on top of her. The man also was ejected.

Montana Highway Patrol Capt. Gary Becker said investigators believe that speed and alcohol were factors in the accident. He said the truck crashed about a mile west of Whitehall when it drifted off the left side of the road. The driver lost control after overcorrecting.
