New associates
Computer ER has hired Kaylene Hudson as a new account executive. Hudson has experience in outside sales, from radios to software. She has won numerous awards for meeting and exceeding sales goals. Keegan Connell is a network technician. He comes with a technology background in the U.S. Air Force and he has worked for a local real estate company, assisting their real estate agents with various technology needs. His experience spans from Cisco to Microsoft servers and numerous client and server applications. Barry Obie is a new in-shop service technician. Obie's experience is at the University of Montana. His responsibilities included on-demand technical support and instruction for both students and staff.
Certification
Liz Dye of Portico Real Estate has obtained the real estate broker's designation.
Shannon Behan of Prudential Montana Realty has been awarded the certified residential specialist designation by the Council of Residential Specialists.Accreditation
The Sleep Center at St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center has just completed the re-accreditation process with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. St. Patrick Hospital Sleep Center is the oldest sleep center in western Montana and has been accredited for 10 years. Rolf Holle and Steve Johnson are co-medical directors and are recognized by the Board of American Sleep Medicine.
Appointed
Powell County Memorial Hospital appointed Krissy Lowery as director of nursing. Lowery has been on staff for seven years and received her registered nurse designation from Excelsior College of New York in 2006. She will also continue her position as trauma care coordinator and director of surgical services where she has been collectively for four years.Recognition
Stephen R. Brown of the law firm Garlington, Lohn & Robinson PLLP was inducted into the American College of Environmental Lawyers at its annual meeting in San Francisco. Brown is the first Montana attorney to be elected to this organization.Aubrey Vaughan was the September Associate of the Month for Express Employment Pros. She has worked with Express for two years.
Bitterroot Therapeutic Riding was honored during Special Olympics Montana's Annual Distinguished Service Awards banquet as the Outstanding Organization that has made significant contributions to Special Olympics Montana in 2008. Bitterroot Therapeutic Riding has been involved in Special Olympics equestrian training for seven years.
Elected
Robert Phillips was elected to another term as chairman of Community Medical Center's board of directors. Phillips has been a CMC board member since 1997 and has served as board chairman since 2005. Phillips is the managing partner of Phillips Law Firm P.C. in Missoula. He has been active with the Missoula Children's Theatre, the Missoula Salvation Army and the Missoula Lions Club.
Carl Muus, M.D., has joined CMC's board of directors. Muus, who serves as medical director of CMC's Clinical Laboratory, holds a medical degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. He is a fellow of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the College of American Pathologists and a member of the Montana Pathology Society.
Meredith McAfee of Title Services Inc. will serve as the 2008-2009 business development skills co-chairwoman for Missoula Businesswomen's Network.
At its June meeting, the following officers were elected to serve a two-year term on the Montana Food Bank Network's board of directors: Ryan Screnar, Glacier Bancorp, Helena, chairman; Minkie Medora, nutritionist, Missoula, vice chairwoman; Terry Teichrow, Montana OPI, Helena, secretary; Carol Allen, First Security Bank, Missoula, treasurer.
