Letter: Expand veterans health care to cover all

The government builds roads for us and we don’t call that socialized highways. Roads are necessary for the health, safety and productivity of our country. Is not health care for every citizen just as necessary?

The thing is that we do not need to invent some new scheme. The government supplies health care for every active veteran. Why doesn’t the government change the rules and have the Veteran’s Administration supply healthcare to every citizen?

The cost should be determined by our government but should not invent some whole new infrastructure.
