The Cadets of Missoula's Civil Air Patrol squadron have a mission to place a wreath on the headstone of each veterans grave at Fort Missoula and the new Western Montana Veterans Cemetery in time for the holidays.
Cadets have established a goal of securing sponsors for 300 wreaths by Dec. 1. Each wreath costs $15. The effort is part of a nationwide partnership between the CAP and the nonprofit Wreaths Across America.
Wreaths will be placed at both Missoula cemeteries on Dec. 13.
Those interested in sponsoring one or more wreaths, scheduling a presentation on the project, or with questions can call Cadet Commander Nick Mihalic at 251-3388.
Donors can also donate online at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org by entering the Group ID number: MTCAP018 and designating the cemetery where they wish the wreath to be placed.
