Mark and Bobbie Twite have opened Twite Realty Corp. at 336 Ryman St. Mark has been in the real estate industry for over 20 years and received his brokers license in 2002. He was the Missoula Building Industry Association’s Builder of the Year in 1994 and 1995. Bobbie has been a full-time real estate broker for 22 years specializing in land and recreational properties.

New associates



J ordan Lind has joined Goomzee Corp., a marketing and sales technology company in Missoula. Lind has more than eight years of senior management and leadership experience with corporate and entrepreneurial start-up organizations and will lead the company’s marketing and new business development efforts.

Lon Whittier has joined Goomzee Corp. Whittier has more than 10 years in customer service, sales and operations management. He will lead the company’s client support and operations.

Promotions



Luke Boettcher and Meredith Hoffman have been promoted to team leaders in the Missoula DirecTV Call Center.

Appointed



Gov. Brian Schweitzer has appointed Jennifer Thuesen, RN, a nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center, to serve as the western Montana representative to a state trauma care advisory committee. Thuesen came to St. Joseph Medical Center in 2002 as a graduate of the Salish-Kootenai College nursing program. She began her career in labor and delivery and progressed to emergency medicine. She is a state-certified instructor in the trauma nursing core course, advanced cardiac life support, basic life support and neonatal resuscitation. She has been the St. Joseph trauma coordinator since February 2007.

Accreditation



Child Care Resources announced that child care provider Amy Dean of Creative Child Care has been accredited through the National Association for Family Child Care.

Certification



Cody Phillips, Lake County Bank, St. Ignatius, has completed the Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer Program, sponsored by the Independent Community Bankers of America.

Alison Cobb, Ph.D., has been licensed as a clinical psychologist. Cobb practices at the Northwest Center for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, where she treats a wide range of psychological problems including mood and anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and difficulties with adjustment.

Thomas Maley, registered cardiovascular invasive specialist of St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center, is now certified in Healthcare Information Technology through the University of Connecticut. The program was developed in conjunction with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society in which he is an active member. He has more than 20 years of experience in cardiac clinical and information systems and recently accepted a position in Cardiac Clinical Informatics at St. Pat’s.

Elected



Sue Britton, vice president on the board at Mountain Home Montana, has been elected to chair the silent auction at Southgate Mall.

Recognition



Tracy Staats of Prudential Missoula Properties achieved Top Sales for October 2008.

Charlotte Beatty, staff attorney for Judge Deschamps in the Missoula District Court, was selected as one of three employees to receive the Judicial Staff Employee of the Year from the Montana Supreme Court. Chief Justice Karla Gray presented Beatty with her award in a ceremony in the Supreme Court Courtroom in Helena.

Jani Summers of Exit Realty Bitterroot Valley Inc. was top producer for the month of October.

The Western Montana Fund Raiser’s Association announced recipients of the following awards: Steve Kemple, MD, Outstanding Philanthropist; William Bouchee, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser; The Llewellyn Foundation, Outstanding Foundation; ALPS Corp., Outstanding Corporation; Jim Caron, Missoula Children’s Theatre, Outstanding Fundraising Executive; Missoula Sunrise Rotary, Outstanding Service Club Award.

St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center has named April Buffington as November’s Outstanding Employee. Buffington serves in the catering department, and has been recognized for being uplifting, inspiring and caring.

Relocation



Missoula Businesswomen’s Network monthly Bitterroot Business Referral Subnetwork meeting has been moved from Stevensville to Hamilton. This group will meet the second Thursday of each month at the Perkins in Hamilton. Subnetwork Leaders for the Bitterroot Business Referral Group are DeDe Adams, Montana Basket Bistro and Patti Weeda, Fencecrafters in the Bitterroot, and Bitterroot Valley Chamber of Commerce.
