Lady Griz win season opener

MISSOULA (AP) -- Sarah Ena led with 19 points and Montana scored the final five points of the game to beat Wyoming 71-64 Sunday, handing the Cowgirls their first loss of the season.

Mandy Morales added 14 for the Lady Griz (1-0) in their season opener and Britney Lohman finished with a team high 12 rebounds and nine points.

Wyoming (1-1) was led by Emma Langford with a career high 20 points along with four rebounds and four assists. Megan McGuffey and Kristen Scheffler each added 15 points, while McGuffey recorded ten rebounds.

The Lady Griz will play at Idaho Tuesday at 8 p.m. Then they'll have more than a week off before playing in the Caribbean Challenge at Cancun, Mexico. Montana will play three games in three days, beginning the day before Thanksgiving and facing Illinois, Maryland and South Dakota State.
