Ginnings service set for Monday
By MICHAEL MOORE of the Missoulian

A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 24, for Noah Ginnings, the 26-year-old Missoula man who died Thursday after a seven-year battle with brain cancer.

The service will start at 1 p.m. at the Missoula Children's Theatre, which will open five rooms and broadcast video of the service throughout the building.

Although parking can be difficult downtown, the DoubleTree Hotel has offered its north parking lot to those attending the service.

Ginnings, who was diagnosed with cancer in December 2001, was an extremely popular student at the University of Montana, where he served in the Advocates program, which helps introduce students to the school.

Because of ongoing treatments, Ginnings struggled to complete his degree in education, but was honored with a special ceremony in late October.

Ginnings' fight with cancer led to construction of a Facebook Web page called “People Who Love Noah Ginnings,” and supporters were still writing notes on the site on Friday evening.

The Missoulian is also hosting comments about Ginnings at missoulian.com/articles/2008/11/21/news/mtregional/news09.txt.
