“I don't think it was the prettiest game, but I can't remember a game where two teams worked harder than that,” said Libby coach Wally Winslow, whose team moved to 1-0 in Northwestern A action and 4-1 overall. “That's as good of an effort I've seen from any group I've ever coached.”
Benson paced the Loggers with 13 points, followed by Joel Fuller and Cannon each with 10. Winslow lauded Cannon for hitting “big shots at big times” and Alex Cislo for providing an offensive and defensive lift off the bench.

Parsons connected twice from 3-point range en route to pacing Russell with 14 points. Josh Huestis scored 11 and Jordan Harper added 10 for the Rustlers.
Russell (4-0) led by just three after the first quarter before outscoring the Braves 16-5 in the second to take a comfortable 14-point lead into halftime.
Karl Ingram's 10 points led Flathead, which dropped to 1-4.

Grant Getts topped Columbia Falls with 16 points. Mackey Nolan added 13 for the Wildcats (3-2) and Mitchell Wassam and Michael Williams scored 12 apiece.
Columbia Falls outscored Big Sky 15-6 in the second quarter by rotating a steady flow of bench players to keep fresh legs on the floor.
Mike LaValley's 14 points paced the Eagles, who slipped to 3-3.

Pateman scored 14 of his game-high 22 points in the third quarter as Stevensville moved to 3-2. Jeremy Rusnell added 12 points for the Yellowjackets.
Stevensville opened a 12-point lead at halftime with the help of sting man-to-man defense.

Wilde scored a team-leading 12 points for Frenchtown, which led by 13 after one quarter before the Chiefs rallied to cut that deficit by one at halftime. Ronan (4-1) even pulled ahead by as many as six in the third quarter before Frenchtown regained control.
Tyler Normand and Sean Amundson scored nine points apiece for the Broncs, who improved to 2-2.

At Seeley Lake, senior guard Ryan Nelson played the role of hero as the District 6-B Blackhawks edged Southwestern A Hamilton.
Nelson scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, including a 24-foot, 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force the extra period. Nelson, who finished with a game-high 30 points, hit a pair of free throws in overtime to win it.
Chris Birdsbill scored 17 for Seeley-Swan, which moved to 5-1.
Kyle Crowley netted 15 points to lead the Broncs (1-3).

The Red Devils led 55-50 with 23 seconds left in regulation before Troy scored from 3-point range and added a deuce to send it to the first overtime.
Cody Linderman sent it to the second overtime when he drained a 3-pointer for Noxon with 10 seconds left in the frame.
Aaron Palmer came off the bench to lead the Trojans (5-1) with 29 points. Jesse Day had 21 and Shado Garrett added 10 for Troy.
Linderman scored a game-high 31 and Jason Allen had 19 for Noxon (1-3).
