Army

National Guard Spec. Jacob R. Noonan, National Guard Staff Sgt. Kelley L. Ziegler, National Guard Spec. Louie T. Jackson and Reserve Staff Sgt. Michael R. James have been mobilized and activated for deployment overseas to a forward operation base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Noonan, Ziegler, Jackson and James are assigned to the 143rd Military Police Detachment, Livingston. Noonan is the son of Michele and Michael Noonan of Stevensville. Ziegler is the daughter of Penny Massa of Hamilton and Ron Ziegler of Belle Fourche, S.D. Jackson is the son of Herb Jackson of Lapwai, Idaho, and Rita Adam of St. Ignatius. James is the son of Victor and Cris James of Noxon.

Pfc. Kahlan J. Maki graduated from the Infantry Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. Maki is the son of Delaine Maki of Missoula and grandson of Terrence Maki of Libby. He is a 2008 graduate of Frenchtown High School.

Reserve Staff Sgt. Michael R. James has been mobilized and activated for deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. James is a military police member with 17 years of miltary service.

Navy

Seaman Recruit David R. Carpenter completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Carpenter’s brother is Jonathon Carpenter of Corvallis.
