Posted on Jan. 9

HAMILTON (AP) - The Ravalli County sheriff has released the name of a 60-year-old man who died in a skiing accident at Lost Trail Ski Area, south of Darby.

Sheriff and Coroner Chris Hoffman said Friday the victim was Craig J. Foley of Butte.

Foley died Thursday. He apparently suffered a fall, but was able to ski to the bottom of the hill before collapsing. Medical personnel gave aid at the scene and Foley was transported to Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, where he was pronounced dead.

Hoffman says the death was caused by blunt force injuries.
