New business

Tami Beich has reopened her massage practice in Changes Salon in the Stephens Center. She specializes in Swedish, deep tissue and prenatal massage. A variety of spa services are also available. Beich is a graduate of the local Montana School of Massage.

Deni Llovet, family nurse practitioner, has opened River City Family Health at 742 Kensington Ave. in the Montana Eye Care plaza. Llovet has been providing health care for more than 20 years to the Missoula community. RCFH provides fee-for-service health care to Missoula families and increases access to health care for the uninsured and for those with high insurance deductibles. Llovet specializes in primary care for the entire family, including annual checkups for children and adults, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and weight management. Phone 541-8090.

Jessica Swearingen and Amy Bramsen have opened A Full Body Affair, a salon located in the Glacier Building on Glacier Drive in Lolo. Stylists are Karen Elmer, Michelle McKay and Abby Mellgren, and the massage therapist is Michelle McClain. The salon offers tanning, hair, wax and massage with more to come.

New associates

Shawna Batt was named the digital marketing specialist for GAP West Broadcasting, working with sales operations and online advertising. Batt represents interactive media for 94.9 KYSS-FM, 96.3 the Blaze, Energy 107.5, GRIZ Country 101.5, News Radio 1290 KGVO, Missoula’s Progressive Talk 930-AM and News Radio 1240 KLYQ in Hamilton.

Vicki Davidson has joined Farmers Insurance Group as an insurance agent. Davidson has been a licensed property & casualty producer since 2004 and has recently received her life insurance license. She holds two insurance designations, associate in customer service and associate in insurance services. Her office will be located at 1821 South Ave., West Suite 204.

Relocation

The Linda Faulkner Insurance Agency and Faulkner Education Services has relocated to Suite 101 at 1018 Burlington Ave. from their previous location in the same building.

Promotions

Erin Lambson was promoted to practice manager of the Community Physician Group Stevensville Clinic. Lambson is in her ninth year as an employee of CMC.

Elected

Tim Hubbard, owner/dealer at University Motors, is the new president of the Montana Automobile Dealers Association. Hubbard has also been the vice president and the District 2 director for the Montana Automobile Dealers Association and has been involved in the auto business for nearly 40 years. Tim and his wife Rosemary have owned University Motors in Missoula for 17 years and recently remodeled the dealership. Hubbard has been in the Missoula auto business since he graduated from the University of Montana and has been a vital figure in the Missoula community. He’s served nine years on the board at Saint Patrick’s Hospital and has been chairman of the University of Montana Excellence Fund and many other civic organizations.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Missoula elected three new members to the organizations board of directors. The new members are Bruce Haswell, Wells Fargo Bank; Malin Stearns Johnson, Garlington, Lohn & Robinson; and Kate Joyce, First Security Bank. Members continuing to serve on the board are Chris Newbold, Ed Heine, Diane Beck, Greg Malone, Leslie Halligan, Scott Johnson, Joe Sample and Mary Windecker.

The Sentinel Kiwanis of Missoula elected the following officers for 2009: Claudia Denker, University of Montana, president; Keith Dowling, Hi-Noon Petroleum, president-elect; Michele Wheeler, Safeco, vice president; Linda Merchant, First Security Bank, treasurer; Mary Oestreich, ALPS, secretary; Brent Small, Four Seasons Motors, past president. The following were elected board members - Colleen Baldwin, Sandy Smith, Larry Springer, Steve Gibbs, Chris Hale, Mike Burnside, Jennifer Harper and Tim Ondrak.

The Western Montana Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers elected the following officers and directors for 2009 - Pam Gannon, Lambros Real Estate/Property Management, president elect; Jodi Corette, Grizzly Property Management, treasurer; Jennifer Stock-Plum, Missoula Property Management, secretary; Rebecca King, Tri-West Property Management, NARPM board member; Jim McGrath, Missoula Housing Authority, affiliate board member.

Recognition

Priscilla Brockmeyer of Prudential Missoula Properties achieved top sales in December 2008.

Nicole Jones, broker, was Exit Realty Bitterroot Valley Inc.’s top producer for 2008.

Heather Smith was associate of the month for December for Express Employment Professionals. Smith works in the home health care department.

Beth Diettert, owner of Quiznos Sub, was awarded the Missoula Businesswomen’s Network Flying High Award, presented to women who have made significant contributions to the Missoula Businesswomen’s Network.

Bobbi Bewley was recognized as an Outstanding Radio Sales Person of the Year by the Montana Broadcaster Association. Bewley represents 94.9 KYSS-FM, 96.3 the Blaze, Energy 107.5, GRIZ Country 101.5, News Radio 1290 KGVO, Missoula’s Progressive Talk 930-AM and News Radio 1240 KLYQ in Hamilton. Bewley works as a marketing consultant for GAP West Broadcasting in Missoula, Ravalli and Flathead counties.

Certification

The following GAP West Broadcasting employees earned the designation of certified digital marketing consultant from the Radio Advertising Bureau; Dave Cowan, general manager; Kathy Kay Anderson, sales manager; Laurie Williams, national sales; and account executives Mike Tucker, Denny Bedard, Shawna Batt, Susan Leibenguth, Bobbi Bewley, KC Kloppel, Glenn Schmidt, Mike McConnell, Tina Indrehus and Ja’Ton Simpson. This degree is designated to consult clients and address their digital needs. Morrison-Maierle Inc. site/civil design engineer Molly Skorpik, PE, LEED AP, passed the leadership in energy and environmental design professional accreditation exam. LEED accredited professionals are building industry professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building and the LEED green building rating system. Skorpik joined the Missoula office of MMI in 2001. She graduated from Montana State University in December 2000, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in bio-resources engineering. She focuses on development and water resource related projects.

Jeremy Herring, PE, PTOE, a transportation engineer at Morrison-Maierle Inc., is now certified as a professional traffic operations engineer. Herring holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Montana State University. He is experienced in signal and intersection geometric improvements in addition to conceptual roadway and interchange design. Recent projects include extensive traffic signal design and their prospective construction documents along with numerous traffic impact analyses.
