This year I resolve to ... Classes participating in NIE continue tradition of sharing resolutions

In keeping with a yearly tradition, teachers who participate in the Missoulian’s Newspaper in Education program were invited to submit New Year’s resolutions from their students. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Hellgate Elementary

Jo Fix, teacher, Grade 3

Jacob: Hit as many home runs in baseball and get as many outs as I can.

Dmitry: Not fight with my sisters.

Samantha: I will be nice to friends and behave when guests are at my house.

Ally: At the Hmong New Year I will do my best. I will try to read more and help my family to do most of the chores.

Kassi: Not fight with my sister.

Ben: I will do my homework and not go to study hall. I will eat my dinner and not argue with my Mom.

Kyle T.: I promise I will listen to everyone who tells me what to do.

Cody: Not forget stuff.

Mark: I will clean my brother’s room if it is my stuff.

Deon: Help more around the house and listen to Mom and Dad.

Magnus: Be a great golf player and help Mom with the laundry and Dad with the rink.

Taylor: I will clean my room when Mom tells me and when she also tells me to do the dishes.

Cory: I will try harder in baseball and come in first place this time.

Lydia: Be nicer to my friends and my family.

Kyle K.: I want to be nicer to my dog.

Sydney H.: I will be nice to my brother, try to improve on my work, and help Mom with work.

Sydney L.: I promise to be nice to everyone I meet and to be nice to my brother.

Noelle: I promise to clean my room and get rid of some of my stuffed animals.

Kailie: I’m going to focus on my schoolwork.

Quinn: I promise not to hurt or harm my dog when he is bad.

Chris: I promise to be more nicer to my family and make more friends.

Thomas: I am going to make better snow tires.

David: I would like to make three new friends, play baseball and help cook.

Kylee: I will help out with chores like maybe do the dishes.

Isaac Boid: Wear orange on Italian Appreciation Day (March 17).

Cade Windmueller: Be nicer to my little brother.

Rylee Close: Study the situation this year and make a resolution next year.

Rylie Hawkins: Start vacuuming the corners of our downstairs so the spiders don’t take up residency.

Jake Christoferson: Help my parents around the house by cleaning our basement.

Gavin Weber: Clean up my room, when Mom says, in half an hour, without complaining.

Natalie Drozdz: Feed and brush my cats every day.

Aimie Blackwell: Vacuum and dust for Mom every week.

Kailer Scott: Try to be a neater person.

Sabrina Hopcroft: Help clean the house with Mom.

Max Riedl: Go down a black diamond run at Discovery on my skateboard.

Danika Greer: Go to a Jonas Brothers concert.

Levi Edwards: Work harder in school to get better grades.

Derek Crowe: Take a shower every night for a month.

Caitlyn Moore: Clean my room every day in my new house.

Janey Stevens: Get faster at my homework.

Sarah Juden: Take care of my pets.

Callie Stevens: Clean my room twice a week.

Jonny Terry: Keep my room clean and try to be really, really nice to my sisters.

Nolan Pflug: Not bug my sister and try to be exceptionally nice to her and buy her really nice things and take her to fun places.

Jackson Rice: Get High Honor Roll every period.

Bransyn Simpson: Learn to ski.

Christopher McBride: Spend less time on the computer.

Ashley Koerner: Not to be like the devil.

Trevor Weyers: Practice the piano more to get better.

Kacie Zarnik: Help people more often.

Ashley Craig: Play with my cousins.

Casan Whitfield: Improve my magic skills.

Jared Kline: Go to my friend’s house more often.

Micheal Goyen-Turnbull: Help my grandma cook dinner with I go to visit.

Tucker Johnson: Sell $7,000 worth of popcorn next year so I get a DS, gift card and 200 Scout bucks.

Morgan Stoltz: Swim more at a lake called Canyon Ferry.

Benjamin Griggs: Get every Lego City fire set.

Tessla Nichols: Help my mom with cooking.

Trevor Lueck: Do better on my report card.

Wesley Acosta: Make enough money to buy myself an Xbox 360.

Tamera Apple-Baker: Get better at riding horses.

Brooke Brayton: I want to be nicer to my mom, help my step-mom with my new baby brother and be nicer to my brothers and dad.

Emilio Culp: Make my own pie.

Brooke Denny: Be a better softball player, pitcher and hitter. Also, get my planner signed.

Shayne Parrish: I will not fight with my brother.

Kambree Richens: Keep my room clean and not be a packrat.

Malia Schmidt: Help anyone who needs help, like friends and family.

Carli White: Help Mom take care of my baby sister when she is born.

Annastasia Albert: Buy all the Kannazuki no Miko DVDs.

Matthew Biggers: Play football better and save up money so I have it.

Jerry Buck: I would like to become nicer to my sister because she is going to get her tonsils taken out.

Shalynn Daniels: Not bother my sister.

Sadie Faulkner: Get better grades in school. I think that if I get better grades then I might have a better chance of becoming a chef when I grow up n that is if I ever do.

Kylie Landmark: Help Mom with my sisters and help Dad with anything that he needs help with.

Dakota Poling: Help Mom around the house and help Dad build our new house.

Rhiannon Schardt: Be nicer to my sister.

Chris Brodie: I will work hard on cleaning up my room and making my bed, and take care of my dogs and cats, and take care of my fish.

Rylan Ortt: Try not to get hurt and work harder.

Kegan Morris: Improve on math because sometimes I get some wrong.

Rory McLaverty: Work hard on my schoolwork and homework.

Bill Lucas: I am going to take better care of my brother.

Tyler Penrose: I will be careful by not knocking people over.

Jillian Matosich: Be better at taking care of my dog. I promise to walk my dog, feed my dog and brush my dog.

Tegan Schaper: I will try not to boss my brother around. I will take care of my fish.

Luke Joy: Try to be nice to my sister and obey Mom and Dad.

Kaya Leavell: Help Mom clean the house and set the table.

Parker Stevens: I will not be mean to my brother. I will be fair to my brother, listen to Dad more and be a better writer.

Savanna Pedersen: Work harder to clean up my room.

Alec Conwell: Improve on writing, reading and reading globes.

Marissa Breum: Not fight with my sister Serina so much.

Maddie Sager: Work harder on cleaning my room.

Lamar Rhoades: Work harder on helping Mom and Dad do the dishes.

Olivia Earling: Be nice to my brothers and clean my room.

Audrey Fero: Try harder to be nicer to my sisters and Mom and Dad, and listen to them.

Scout Shearer: Take better care of my cat by getting her out of her hiding hole and feed her. I will improve by cleaning my room.

Skyyler Barron: Spend more time walking and exercising with my mom.

Preston Bergman: I will try to be nicer to my older brothers and sisters, Derek, McKenzie and Trenton.

Adyiah Burnaby: I will spend more time helping my younger sisters Kadi and Kendyl with their homework.

Aidan Courtney: I will try not to think of school as a boring place.

Ashley Cowan: I want to get better at helping my mom with cleaning. I would also like to work on controlling my anger.

Samantha Dickhausen: Clean my room the first time I’m asked.

Dylan Edgar: I am going to work on getting better at sharing. I will be extra nice during Christmas.

Quois Farnum-Clark: I will try my best to start recycling more. I plan on making a greater effort to call my great-grandparents because I never get to see them.

Evan Allen: I will help my mom with chores around the house and watch my little sister, Emma, so Mom can relax.

Kati Galbavy: Stop being bossy to my sister Jenni and help out around the house more.

Alyssa Haley: I will help the environment by picking up trash and I will help out my neighbors by picking rocks out of their yard.

Leon Harmeyer-Peschel: I will work hard to bring my math grade from a B to an A.

Becky Kidder: I’m going to help my sisters, Mary Jane and Brielle, with cleaning the house.

Adam Marshall: I want to work on my spelling, especially doing my spelling homework. I want to get better at jumping with my bike.

Kelsi McEnaney: I will be more confident in my work and show pride in my friendships.

Tia Morris: I will help my mom out more with my little brother Junior.

Natasha Rivera: I am going to get better at ice skating so I don’t have to hold onto the wall.

Kenneth Roth: I will help Mom and Dad more with cleaning the house and feeding our dog, Blinkin.

Lilianna Sharp: I will try to be kinder to my brother Carlos, hoping he will be kinder to me.

Emily Zeski: I am going to help by picking up trash by the side of the street.

Juniper Watne: I will turn off lights when I leave a room to save electricity.

Matt Messerly: Get on the straight A honor roll, stop goofing off in class and pay more attention to my teacher.

Maiya Kendall: Be kinder to my mom and sister. I think I should do my sister’s chores one day so the house is as clean as a shiny quarter. And I should care for Mom when she is really sick instead of going up to my room and playing Game Boy.

Kaleb Dexter: Make my bed so that it is very comfortable at night.

Mary Christensen: Do all my homework and clean my room.

Isabella Weida: Treat my brother kindly and listen the first time I’m told because then I will be a better person in life.

Justin Maxey: I will feed my dog so much he will have food for a year.

Jake Fister: Be careful with other people’s stuff so they trust me a lot more.

Brenna Swinger: Spend more time with my family and be more responsible.

Hunter VanCleave: Treat my family with respect, play with my sister, walk the dog and do the dishes.

Madi Erickson: Clean the cat box without being told so they will never get sick and go to the vet.

Kinsey Douglass: Be a better family member and friend. I will also be more creative and use my imagination so I will have more fun with everyone.

Skylas Stanley: Be more honest and more caring to my bro. I will do these by thinking before I speak and letting my bro play with me more.

Jett Steen: Do the dishes. Then I would dry them and finally I would put them away.

Sam Bryan: Be more organized. Then I can memorize where everything is in my room.

Kyler Smith: Take out the garbage and be nice to people.

Nate Hicks: Be healthy in physical and mental health. And be ready for anything that will come at me!

Ezra Weida: Listen to my family the first time without anything said. If I do that I will be a better person in life.

Tianna Nash: Clean my room every day so I can keep organized. I will get a better education if I am organized with my work. And I will get better grades.

Evan Kirby: Be more caring to myself.

Emily Cadieux: Be on task. I will not talk when I’m reading, helping and asking questions.

Connor Rauckhorst: Get all A’s. I’m going to work like a builder.

Brenden Foote: Get my wrist shot up higher and my snap shot accurate.

Makayla Bartlett: Wear my glasses so I do not go blind.

Evan Bancroft: Take care of my cat, be a better brother and be creative.

Justin Brown: Be better at snowboarding so I can do a Nollie.

Jordan Pine: Be more kind to my brother and parents. It is very important to help them because they do so much for me. I will also work on being a better friend.

Dan Adcock: Be a more thoughtful person. I will do this by thinking of others before myself. I will work to be a better listener. I will look for the goodness in others.
