The Missoula City-County Health Department is offering several H1N1 flu vaccine clinics in coming weeks.

An ongoing clinic is under way in the old Dahle's Big and Tall building, south of Southgate Mall, at the corner of Paxson and Harve streets. That site was used for previous vaccine clinics, and the new clinic will offer vaccines for additional groups of at-risk people.

The clinic will serve the following people:

- People ages 5 to 64 with chronic medical conditions.

- Pregnant women.

- Children 6 months to 4 years old.

- Children 9 years of age and younger who are due for their second shot, if it has been at least 21 to 28 days since their initial shot.

- Household members and caretakers of children 6 months and younger.

When: By appointment only - to register call 258-4636. The clinics will run Mondays through Thursdays, and on Saturdays, through the second week in December. Vaccines will be given from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinic will be closed on Thanksgiving.

A second, large-scale clinic is set for Sunday, Nov. 22, and will serve children ages 5 through eighth grade.

When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location: The clinic will be held at Sentinel High School from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for families with last names starting with A to L and from 1 to 4 p.m. for M to Z. Please come to the correct time slot to help cut down on congestion and long waits. Park in the Bancroft Street parking lot and follow the signs.

The Health Department will have information about H1N1 vaccine and parent/guardian consent forms available at the clinic. Parents should plan to accompany their child to the clinic and complete the paperwork on site. Immunizations are free.

A third large clinic will take place on Sunday, Dec. 6, at Sentinel from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The clinic is set for all young people ninth grade through 24 years of age.

If you cannot attend these clinics, call the Health Department's H1N1 line at 258-4636 for information about other options in the near future.
