Remember when summer vacation meant long, lazy maybe even a bit boring afternoons climbing trees and catching bugs and testing your ability to escape moms watchful eye?
Nowadays, of course, many children spend much of their summer vacation at day camps intended to keep them safe and occupied while parents are at work. Every year, the number and variety of camps seems to increase.
First came sports camps, then cooking and sewing and art camps, and now math and self-esteem themes.
