DILLON - It wasn't easy, but the Dillon volleyball team rallied to a five-game Southwestern A victory over Frenchtown on Saturday night.
The Beavers had their backs to the wall, but won the final two games and pulled out a 25-14, 19-25, 17-25, 25-16, 15-6 win.
Kate Ferris set 21 assists for Dillon and contributed five of the Beavers' 16 aces. Dillon, which tallied a team total of 43 kills, received 15 of them from Jacy Suenram and 13 more from Alison Jenne. Suenram also had two of the Beavers' three blocks.
Emily Paffhausen had five aces and Katie Myllymaki gave Dillon 22 digs.
Kelsey Fallis almost singlehandedly kept Frenchtown in the match. She led the Broncs in kills (11), blocks (two), digs (17) and aces (two). Tasha Huset dished out 17 assists for the Broncs.

Helena Capital def. Kalispell Flathead, 3-0
At Kalispell, the Bruins rolled to the 25-21, 25-22, 25-18 Western AA sweep.
Hannah Sackett led the Bravettes with 10 kills and four aces. Danika Johnson and Kwyn Johnson each had a block for Flathead and Alison Lunde set 26 assists.
No statistics for the Bruins were available.

Helena High def. Kalispell Glacier, 3-2
At Kalispell, it took all five games, but No. 2 Helena finally asserted its dominance against Kalispell Glacier.
Monica Grimsrud swatted a match-high 21 kills as the Bengals rebounded from a game-one loss to take the 21-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 15-4 victory.
Grimsrud added five blocks and Shelby Long hit five aces, while Leah Engebretson got under 22 digs.
For the Wolfpack, Lexy Boschee had 18 kills and four aces. Rachel Cutler contributed 16 kills.
Helena def. Glacier, 21-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-22, 15-4.

Eureka def. Superior, 3-0
At Superior, Tayler Holder was all over the floor as District 7-B Eureka swept 6-B Superior in a nonconference match.
Holder pocketed 17 kills, two blocks, 10 digs and five aces as the Lions took the 25-15, 25-12, 25-12 win.
Also for Eureka, Alyssa White set up the offense with 28 assists.
For Superior, Kaitlynn Koke and Jessica Taylor each had three kills, while Nikki Stroot contributed a trio of aces. Kelsey Stenberg had nine digs on defense and Kaylee Crabb set five asssists.

At Troy, Claire Wilken paced the Vals to a 25-21, 25-23, 25-21 District 7-B victory.
Wilken posted team highs with 18 assists and three aces. Emily Hardman had 20 of Bigfork's 41 kills and Melissa VanDerveer stuffed seven blocks. Mallery Knoll added 11 digs for the Vals.
Troy (3-6, 5-10) received six kills, three aces and block from Ashley Paasch.

At Seeley Lake, Janelle Greenwood led the way as the Blackhawks took the District 9-C match, 25-15, 25-20, 25-16.
Greenwood tallied 13 kills, six digs and a block as Seeley-Swan improved to 7-3 in league play and 8-5 overall. Ashley Holmes and Katelyn Lewis each had six digs for the Blackhawks and Summit Parcell passed out 32 assists. Chelsea Cahoon led Seeley-Swan in aces with four.
Stephanie Linn paced the Prospectors with four kills and eight digs.

At Arlee, Courtney Dix dished out 18 assists and had three blocks to lead Arlee over Noxon in a District 10-C match.
Becca Nelson chipped in four aces for the Scarlets, who won 25-14, 15-25, 25-14, 25-13 to improve to 4-4 in league.
Stephanie Larkin was the Red Devils' top player with eight kills and 10 digs.

At Hot Springs, the District 10-C Savage Heat earned the victory over the District 7-B Trotters, who forfeited the match due to illness.
Lincoln def. Victor, 3-1
At Victor, with the help of 18 aces, the Lynx posted the 25-16, 25-15, 24-26, 25-14 District 9-C victory despite posting just seven kills.
Katie Menard provided Lincoln with a team-best three kills. Michelle Korman added two of the Lynx's seven digs and Anna Nicolai set four of Lincoln's seven assists. Katie Shaw was responsible for five aces for the Lynx.
Victor, which fell to 0-11 overall, was led by Kaylene Munson. She tallied seven kills and three blocks. Lianna Burdett had four assists and four aces for the Pirates and Shelby Gibson had 21 digs. Victor's Krystin Corkern matched Burdett's four aces.
